We have a number of alternative and flexible options that may suit you from short /medium/long term options.

Long term we aim to seek a solo handyman or all rounder couple, though do have alternative options and are open to other considerations for the property/community here if you feel you have something you could add. There is also consideration for a couple who may like to run wellness retreats from the property. We aim to build a steam sauna and a communal building space for larger events under cover though currently have an arrangement to hire a hall in town for sound healing etc under our public liability. We prefer non vaccinated people though we are pro choice. This opportunity suits people with interests in homesteading and growing vegetables to share, we have a variety of orchard mix on the property already and can swap or trade food locally and buy local options are available as well. This property is not suited to people with any alcohol or drug dependence issues. Its suited to people who like to potter at their own pace and don't like to sit around doing nothing, there is plenty to do here if your restless and enjoy being kept busy on your own though still plenty of opportunity to be at peace doing your own thing also.

We are a small, micro-community of three women 45, 55, 69 living near Bridgetown, WA.  We’re seeking a reliable, community-minded individual or couple to join us for a permanent option—in exchange for accommodation and lifestyle on beautiful acerage.

What We’re Offering

  • Comfortable live-in placement in a scenic, quiet, and welcoming environment (single or couple an option) Accommodation is currently a Transportable building with heating and cooling with a good sized covered area for indoor/outdoor kitchen lounge area with small fenced yard available or room to park up your own van set up too

  • A sense of belonging within a supportive small community

  • The opportunity to enjoy a beautiful property—without the burden of ownership

  • Limited occasional paid project work if you have carpentry or building skills (if you hold an ABN) building a steam room sauna, building a deck for a yurt or other building structure, building animal enclosure.

  • Occasional shared meals if desired as part of the extended micro community

  • Opportunity for you to earn your own money from some optional projects like making garden beds or chicken runs for selling or getting some casual handyman jobs in town for others in hours that wont affect the property, you may be receiving benefit payments as your additional supplement already that gives you cash flow.

  • If you are wellness minded there are opportunities to coordinate retreats from the property also but not necessary if that's not your field of interest.

In Exchange For

  • General handyman tasks, also sprinkler head replacement and retic checking

  • Carpentry or building skills ideal for small to medium projects, carport erecting, building a deck for a yurt with assistance

  • Property maintenance such as painting, pressure-washing, and oiling the timber decks

  • Erecting a small shed, building animal enclosure

  • Occasional digging for planting and property upkeep

  • Garden tool sharpening and minor machine servicing (brushcutters, whipper snippers, blowers, hedgers, pole saws, ride ons, sharpening pruners etc)

Come stay with us at Elysian Bridgetown, a tranquil property nestled in the scenic hills near Bridgetown, WA. We’re a small, micro-community of three women and hopefully a handyman soon who love our land and enjoy welcoming kind, respectful visitors who appreciate the outdoors and being part of something meaningful

In Exchange for Your Help, We Offer:

  • Accommodation in a small caravan

  • Access to bathroom and laundry facilities

  • Occasional meals  (depending on the length of stay and preferences)

  • A peaceful, grounding environment surrounded by nature

  • A chance to slow down, connect, and experience community living

  • I have connections for you to move onto other potential paying jobs as I admin several Job pages across WA, I have helped most who have stayed here move onto other alternatives

Help Needed (Approx. 2 - 4 hours/day 5 days a week depending if meals provided or not):

  • Garden clean-up

  • Weeding and pruning

  • Raking and general outdoor tidying

  • Whipper-snipping

  • Occasional planting, mulching, and other garden tasks

  • cooking group meals is also an option that could be discussed
